It’s that time of year again when the Christmas decorations are packed away and there is an empty space where your tree once stood.
If you bought a real Christmas tree and are wondering how to dispose of it don’t worry there are several easy options. You can be take it to your Household Waste Recycling Centre, at Western Road, Kilmarnock or Garlaff, near Cumnock for recycling or cut up and place it within your brown kerbside bin for collection in March.
Alternatively your tree can be cut into lengths of no more than 4 feet (1.2m) and placed beside your general waste bin on the next scheduled general waste collection day.
Old Christmas cards can be placed in your blue bin for recycling.
