On and off street parking restrictions are enforced by the East Ayrshire Parking Service.
Local Authority enforcement is the most effective way of encouraging people to obey the rules designed to bring significant road safety and traffic flow benefits to town centres. For further information please see the FAQs about Decriminalised Parking Enforcement.
Uniformed Parking Attendants (PAs) patrol the waiting/loading and parking restrictions in towns and villages throughout East Ayrshire.
PAs are also responsible for enforcement of the no stopping restriction at schools indicated by School Keep Clear markings and disabled persons parking places which are located near to blue badge holders homes.
Penalty Charge Notices (PCNs) are issued to any vehicle contravening parking/loading/stopping restrictions.
