A series of successful drop-in events were held in June 2019 to help people 'get together' and find out more about how to help end loneliness.
Events were held in Newmilns, Stewarton, Kilmarnock and Netherthird where people popped in to take part in workshops and hear from stallholders about volunteering opportunities, mental health awareness, and ways to combat social isolation and loneliness.
Thanks to everyone who came along and took part. Here's what some of you had to say:
"This has been a really good day for me. I signed up to become a volunteer as sometimes I feel a bit lonely and I think this will really make a difference to me and the people that I visit."
"I found out information about services I did not realise existed...very helpful."
"I made connections with the Dementia Resource Centre and Befriending."
"I enjoyed hearing and seeing everyone so motivated and caring."
