UK Parliamentary General Election – Kilmarnock and Loudoun Constituency Results

A UK Parliamentary General Election was held on Thursday 7 May 2015.

Alan Brown of the SNP party was announced as MP of Kilmarnock and Loudoun Constituency on Friday 8 May with a majority of 13,638 votes.

Votes were cast as follows:

Rod Ackland Scottish Liberal Democrats 789
Alan Brown Scottish National Party (SNP) 30000
Cathy Jamieson Scottish Labour Party 16362
Brian Ian Whittle, Scottish Conservative and       Unionist 6752
Number of spoilt ballot papers 92
Total votes cast 53995

The turnout figure for the 2015 UK Parliamentary General Election within the Kilmarnock and Loudoun Constituency was 71.75%.

For the past two Parliamentary elections, the turnout figures were:

6 May 2010 – 62.9%

3 May 2005 – 62.3%

The current electorate for the Kilmarnock and Loudoun Constituency is 75,233.

The electorate at the last Parliamentary election in 2010 for the Kilmarnock and Loudoun Constituency was 74,131.
