Talking about drugs and alcohol

East Ayrshire’s Alcohol and Drugs Partnership will be holding its annual Conference on Wednesday 5 December in Kilmarnock.

The conference is open to everyone with a particular interest in the area, and specifically anyone who has been, or still is, in touch with treatment and support services. Anyone who has ever had an issue with alcohol or drug use or anyone who works in the field of alcohol and drugs is also welcome to come along.

Guest speakers will include footballer and author Andy McLaren; Dr Iain McPhee from UWS, who has worked in the field of drug addiction for 27 years; Justina Murray, CEO of Scottish Families Affected by Alcohol and Drugs, and Niven Rennie, Director of the Scottish Violence Reduction Unit.

The conference is free to attend and will be held at the Park Hotel in Kilmarnock from 9.30am – 3.30pm. Email maps@east-ayrshire.gov.uk for more information or to book a FREE place.
