Kilmarnock Football Club held a training session at Grange Academy recently with S1 and S2 pupils from the Performance and School of Football teams.
The pupils were put through their paces by Paul McDonald, Kilmarnock FC’s Youth Academy Director and the youth coaching team. The training session was a great opportunity for the pupils to learn from the best, be inspired to train even harder and succeed in their sport.
Councillor John Campbell, local member for Kilmarnock East and Hurlford attended the training session. He said: “It was fantastic to see the young people taking part in the training session with Kilmarnock Football Club. The pupils clearly really enjoyed the visit and will remember it forever.
“The football club has great links to Grange Academy and to the local community. The club is focused on youth development and it was very encouraging to see five former Grange Academy pupils playing for Kilmarnock.”
Primary 4 pupils from Annanhill Primary joined in the training session with an enthusiastic display of their footballing skills.
Kilmarnock Football Club was welcomed to the school by Grange Academy’s star piper and social media sensation Warren Graham.
