Family fun, great food, comedy and music were top of the bill in Kilmarnock Town Centre at the weekend with K-Fest 2017, an extravaganza organised by Kilmarnock Town Centre Partnership in conjunction with East Ayrshire Council’s Vibrant Communities team.
Kicking off the weekend was “Soundtracks and Showstoppers” a fabulous evening of popular songs and music presented by members of the Loudoun Musical Society in the New Laigh Kirk. Pubs throughout the town centre ran all sorts of special meal deals with DJs, Karaoke nights and live music from local musicians.
King Street came alive with a family fun day on the Saturday afternoon. Street theatre, games, activities and entertainment proved a big draw, while at the Palace Theatre comedy fans were treated to a sneak preview of Edinburgh Fringe performances from Thursday to Saturday night.
