** Update – 08/02/2017 – The A714 road closure between Pinwherry and Barrhill(Ballochmory to Kildonnan) which was suspended on Monday due to poor weather conditions will now be put back in place at 0930hrs on Friday 10th February.
As before the closure will be in place Monday to Friday between 0930 and 1530hrs each day with a window between 1215 and 1300 when traffic can pass.
There will be some preparatory works carried out on Thursday 9th February under temporary signals in preparation for the closure to allow surfacing to recommence.**
The Ayrshire Roads Alliance as part of its ongoing programme to improve the condition of the road network will be carrying out essential road resurfacing works on the A714, commencing on Monday 30th January 2017, for up to 24 working days.
To carry out these works safely and efficiently and to protect the roads operatives and the travelling public we will require to close the affected section which is from Pinwherry to Barrhill between Bents Farm and Kildonnan.
The A714 will be closed Monday to Friday 0930 until 1530 hrs although there will be a window when traffic can pass between 1215 and 1300 hrs subject to possible delays. A diversion route A77, A751 and A75 will be in place during the closure period
These works are weather dependant and may be delayed at times due to adverse weather conditions, work will continue on the next available day.
Works are scheduled until 26/2/17 or until completed if earlier.
Please allow sufficient time when planning your journeys on these dates. Advisory signs will be erected in advance of the works to alert the travelling public.
