Police101

The police have launched a new phone number for non emergencies.  The 101 non-emergency number will make it quicker and easier for you to contact the police when you don't need an emergency response, for example to:

  • speak to your local police officer
  • report a crime that's already happened, such as theft or damage to property
  • get crime prevention advice

All 101 calls are charged at a flat rate of 15p whether from a landline or mobile phone.  Remember to always dial 999 in an emergency.

The 101 service is designed to take pressure off the 999 system and to make officers more accessible to communities.
