A random sample of 1,001 tenants were interviewed at their own homes from July – September 2014, answering just over 100 questions about the services provided to them. We would like to extend our thanks to those tenants who participated.
The report has indicated that the majority of tenants are satisfied with the overall service they receive from the Council. In addition, this overall satisfaction figure represents a 4 percentage points improvement on the number estimated in 2011, as well as being 7 percentage points greater than the national average for Scottish Councils.
The majority of tenants are also satisfied with the individual elements of the service provided e.g. repairs service, housing quality, information provision, neighbourhood management etc.
Whilst the majority of tenants are satisfied overall, and are mainly positive about the wide range of housing services provided by the Council, it is worth noting the potential areas for investigation or improvement, particularly around how we communicate with tenants.
The Council will work in partnership with East Ayrshire Tenants' and Residents' Federation to plan and implement improvements.
