Parking charge notices

When lockdown was announced on Monday 23 March 2020, all outstanding Penalty Charge Notices (PCNs) were placed on hold. The Parking Service is now returning to normal and notice processing procedures will restart on Monday 29 June 2020.

We appreciate that due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic many people may be under financial pressure. In recognition we are putting in place temporary special arrangements for anyone struggling to pay the outstanding balance on any PCN issued prior to Monday 23 March.

Free virtual parking permit for key workers

In response to government advice, Ayrshire Roads Alliance (ARA) has implemented a virtual parking permit scheme for key workers who are based, or work in and around, town centres within East and South Ayrshire.

Permits are available at no cost for use in any council car park, or on street designated parking bays.

To apply for a permit, key workers must include a covering statement from their line manager or employer in support of the application.
