During this national public health crisis, we’re doing everything we can to protect our workers, protect our residents and ultimately to help save lives. We've had to make some changes to the way we work.

To limit face-to-face contact, our public counters and office receptions are now closed. Our customer service assistants will be still be available to answer your calls on 01563 554400.

Our opening hours are Monday to Thursday 9am to 5pm and Friday 9am to 4pm. In the event of an emergency our out of hours number is 0345 724 0000.

Save time, do it online

Our East Ayrshire customer portal gives you access to a wide range of council services online including payments, uplift requests, copy certificates and many more. If you create a customer account, you can:

  • manage your council tax and rent accounts
  • store your contact details
  • access your submitted requests
  • view your recycling dates and events in your local area

If you create a customer account, you can also view your council tax and rent balances online.

Payments

If you wish to make a payment you can do so on our online portal or via our automated payments line 01563 574057.

Payments can be accepted for:

  • rent, home contents insurance and garage lock up
  • council tax
  • parking fines and other penalty charge notices
  • non domestic rates
  • invoices

To make a payment you will need your reference number.

PayPoint

While our public counters and office receptions are closed, please note that PayPoint facilities are still open if you wish to make a payment.

Sensory impairment help and support

Please find below a list of services currently operating to provide support for people with sensory impairments.

East Ayrshire Council Sensory Impairment Team

This service is for people with a visual, hearing or dual sensory impairment and includes British Sign Language (BSL) interpretation. We can provide information, telephone support and replacement equipment at this time.

For emotional support and help, including replacement batteries and re-tubing equipment for NHS hearing aid users, please contact:

Visual impairment support

If you have a visual impairment and need some emotional support, please contact the following Eye Clinic Liaison Officers at the Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB):

Emergency text service to 999

For people who are deaf, hard of hearing and speech-impaired, you can send an SMS text message to 999. Registration is required prior to use. Please register on the EmergencySMS website.
