Addition to consultation report

Onthank Parent Council response to the proposed move of the Gaelic medium unit to the new school

We the Parent Council support the consultation on the creation of a 3-18 campus for the provision of Gaelic education.

We the Parent Council ask that the Children of the GMU remain at Mount Carmel until the new school has been built. This is so that the children do not have more disruption in their young lives and will allow the new Head Teacher at Onthank to get the full use of the school from day one and not have to wait three years. Also moving the children back over the road for such a short time will be expensive and in these times of austerity surely we should be reducing costs wherever possible.
