Revised statement of licensing policy

Proposal

East Ayrshire Licensing Board is now consulting on the terms of its revised Policy Statement. In order to allow the Board to obtain the views of as many interested parties as possible, the Board has agreed to begin with an informal consultation seeking comments on the Board’s existing Policy Statement.   The Board encourages responses on all parts of the policy, however topics which may be of particular interest are:

  • hours of trading
  • children and young persons access to licensed premises
  • outdoor drinking areas
  • occasional licences
  • extended hours
  • overprovision

This is your opportunity to contribute to the new policy, and the Board is keen to receive a wide range of responses. The results of the initial, informal consultation will be considered as part of a more detailed, formal consultation process in early 2018.
