Rent setting proposals for 2019-20

Council tenants and Registered Tenant Organisations in East Ayrshire are being encouraged to have their say on rent setting proposals for 2019-20. The Council has a statutory duty to consult on the level of council house rent increase each year.

Consultation

The formal consultation period will commence on Monday 3 December 2018 and end on Friday 11 January 2019.

How to comment

You can respond to the consultation via the following:

Complete an online survey

If you would like to respond via the online survey but don’t have internet access, contact your local Housing Team to assist with this. You may also access use of internet at libraries.

By completing a printed copy of the survey from the consultation guide and returning it free to:

How the findings will be used

The views and comments provided will be considered in setting the council house rent level for 2019/20.  We will publish the results online and also include details in a report to Cabinet in early 2019.
