East Ayrshire Community Plan Strategic Environmental Assessment
On 8 September 2014, East Ayrshire Council made a determination under Section 8 (1) of the Environmental Assessment (Scotland) Act 2005 that the review and update of the East Ayrshire Community Plan is likely to have significant effects and consequently a Strategic Environmental Assessment will be required.
In accordance with Section 1 (1) of the Environmental Assessment (Scotland) Act 2005, during the preparation of the East Ayrshire Community Plan an environmental assessment will be carried out to identify, describe and evaluate the likely significant effects on the environment of the East Ayrshire Community Plan.
In accordance with Section 1 (2) of the Environmental Assessment (Scotland) Act 2005, the environmental assessment will consist of the preparation of an environmental report, the carrying out of consultations and the taking into account of the environmental report and the consultations in decision making.
