This section of the website gives an overview of events taking place in East Ayrshire through out the month of December and early Januray starting with the switching on of the lights at the end of November.

It is hoped both the residents of East Ayrshire and visitors to the area will enjoy the festivities and agree that we has something for all the family this Christmas.

Along with billboards around Scotland displaying the 'Give, Receive, Recycle' message and a link to the It's Our Future website, The Scottish Government has developed a short film to catch the eye and lead people to the site to encourage them to sign up for one or more of 10 greener pledges through which we can all do our bit towards a Greener Scotland in 2010. www.infoscotland.com/turkey

The pledges are all very do-able and we will be supporting those who sign up with facts about the impact of the pledges as well as information about what other action you can take. I hope that you will find time to look at the website and sign up to make your own pledges to play your part in action for a Greener Scotland. Just follow this link: http://www.infoscotland.com/ourfuture/202.40.43.html

At this pre-launch stage the Scottish Government has still got a lot to do on the site in particular but the links should give you a flavour of what's planned.
