Promoting economic development is a top priority
for East Ayrshire Council. The responsibility for this function has been
placed within the Department of Development and Property Services, alongside
the other functions of Property Management and Development, Planning,
Development & Building Standards and Roads & Transportation.
Whether you’re a major multinational, large company, expanding or
simply setting up, East Ayrshire really is the place to be.
Properties
The Property Unit provides a comprehensive property management service
to the Council including:
- management of the Council's non-housing real estate;
- collection of rental from non-housing leased properties;
- acquisition of land and buildings to meet operational needs;
- disposal of surplus property assets;
- survey and preparation of plans for leases, disposals, acquisitions,
corporate asset registers;
- development and maintenance of cartographical records of the Council's
property holding for portfolio and contract management.

Loans and Grants
The staff of the Economic Development and Property Section of East Ayrshire
Council will help you make sense of the funding available to you through
