USING ACROBAT READER

East Ayrshire Council uses Adobe Portable Document Format (PDF) files on its website as PDF format faithfully preserves the document formatting - fonts, layout, design etc thus ensuring you view or print out an exact replica copy of the original document.

Documents available in PDF format on the East Ayrshire web site are denoted by the PDF icon. 

Adobe Acrobat Reader is usually pre-installed on most browsers however if it is not already installed on your PC or MAC you will need to download it before reading any PDF documents.  You need do this only ONCE and the software is FREE.

If you already have Adobe Acrobat Reader installed on your computer you will need to check it is at least Version 6 to ensure you can view our documents correctly.

Note, you will need to restart your computer after installing Adobe.
