Background Information

East Ayrshire Council is working hard to produce a database of Verified Addresses for our area. Other councils are doing this, too, for their areas. Each database will be known as the “Local Land and Property Gazetteer (LLPG)” or “Master Address Database” and will eventually contain all addresses, properties and parcels of land. All of these local databases will then be made available across the country so that for Scotland as a whole we will have a “National Land and Property Gazetteer (NLPG)”. Help us Out!

Eventually, our LLPG or “Master Address Database” of verified addresses will be used to provide the contact addresses to all our Services, but it will take some considerable time to link the systems together. In the meantime we will continue to build the database of verified addresses and YOU can help us with this!
Why not look up YOUR address and let us know if you think our database is incorrect. Your help with this will be very much appreciated. But please remember it will take us some time to update all our systems so please be understanding and bear with us if you still receive mail from our systems with what you think is the incorrect address! It will be a slow process and there is a surprising amount of hard work involved. Thanks for your help!
