Common Housing Register (CHR)

East Ayrshire Council is working in partnership with Atrium Homes, Cunninghame Housing Association, Irvine Housing Association and Shire Housing Association to develop and implement a Common Housing Register (CHR) for East Ayrshire. It is hoped that the Register will ‘go live' in 2008.

A Common Housing Register involves the development of a single application form so that anyone seeking housing within the area can access a range of housing options through a single point of contact. The creation of a Common Housing Register should remove some of the obstacles which can make the process of applying for housing difficult and should make a significant difference to people who need housing.
