Building and Works

Building and Works is the internal service provider for the Council Housing and Property repairs and maintenance works.

Following a recent open tender Building and Works was the successful contractor awarded with the Council Property Portfolio Building Maintenance Service Contract in open competition with the private sector.

From 1 July 2004 Building and Works has undertaken full service provision for all repairs to both council owned housing and property premises. The 3* gas maintenance and service contract, for council owned housing properties, is also covered throughout the authority.

We respond to out of hours emergency calls where we remove the emergency from any given incident, repairs or Gas contract, outwith normal working hours. A follow on job, if required, is arranged automatically with the local Housing office / Property officers as appropriate.
