Licensing in East Ayrshire
What type of Licence
do you require?
How you apply for a licence is dependent on what the licence is for.
East Ayrshire
Licensing Board considers applications submitted for the
licensing of:
Public Houses; Hotels; Restricted Hotels; Restaurants; Refreshment Premises;
Entertainment Premises (eg discos); and Off-Sales.
Applications for Renewal of existing licences, Transfer of Licences,
Children's Certificates, Entertainment Bye-Law Consents, Gaming Machine
Permits and Regular Extension of Permitted Hours are also considered at
the Quarterly Meetings of the Board.
The following applications are dealt with by the Clerk
to the Licensing Board under delegated powers and do not
require to be submitted for a Licensing Board meeting:
Section 35 Consent for alterations; Temporary Transfer of Licence; Substitution
of Employee; Occasional Licences, Extensions and Permissions.
Application forms, guidance notes and advice are available from the Licensing
and Community Safety Team if you want to apply for licenses
including:
Indoor Sports Entertainment, Late Hours Catering, Market Operators -
including commercial car boot sales, Metal Dealers, Private Hire Car Operators
and Drivers, Public Charitable Collections, Public Enertainment - other
than premises licensed in terms of Licensing (Scot) Act, Public Processions,
Second Hand Dealers - General, Second Hand Dealers - Motor Vehicles, Street
Traders, Sex Shops, Taxi Operators and Drivers, Window Cleaners.

- for skips, building materials, hoardings, scaffolds, temporary crossovers
