The Automatic are an energetically charged Welsh based indie/electronic rock band. Jarcrew, Muse, Blur and The Blood Brothers are among the band’s influences. The band’s first album Not Accepted Anywhere was released on 19 June 2006 and featured 3 singles, “Raoul”, “Recover” and the “song of summer 2006” (What’s that coming over the hill, it’s a “Monster”) all of which charted in the UK. On 25 August 2008 the band released their second record This Is a Fix, featuring only one single “Steve McQueen”. Currently the band are preparing to release their third album “Tear Down The Signs” which was recorded in Cardiff throughout 2009.
