Irvine Valley Walking and Outdoor Festival 2008

Walking festival dates for 2008 have now been confirmed as follows:

6th Annual Walking Festival on

9 - 11 May 2008

 

Join in the following activities and guided walks:

  • Family fun night at Loudon Castle including bat walk

  • Irvine Valley Trail

  • Trek the Irvine Valley Trail

  • The Grougar Walk (4½ miles - 1½ hours)

  • Galston - Newmilns (2½ miles - 1 hour)

  • Newmilns - Darvel (2 miles - 45 minutes)

  • Darvel - Loudon Hill (3½ miles - 1½ hours)

  • Climb up Loudon Hill (45 minutes - 1 hour)

  • Loudon Hill Inn - Loudon Hill (2½ miles - 2 hours)

  • Distinkhorn and The Crashed Plane (10 miles - 4/5 hours)

  • Loudon Castle Walk (3 miles - 1½ hours)

  • The South Bank Trail (5 miles - 2¼ hours)

  • Ladyton Loch Nature Walk (3½ miles - 2 hours)

  • Lanfine and visit to Lanfine House (2 miles - 2 hours)

For information on regular walks please look at the page for "Volunteer Walkers".  The C.A.T.C.H (Community Activity to Community Health) and Irvine Valley Regeneration Partnership are looking for volunteers to set up weekly health walks around the Irvine Valley Paths network.
