AIMS AND INITIATIVES
The Housing Service aims to improve the quality of life in all communities
by improving the:
We are also committed to working in partnership with other public and
private sector organisations to make sure that housing provision and services
are planned and delivered in the best possible way. We will work closely
with these partners to deliver initiatives such as:
- Tackling Homelessness
- Community Care
- Analysis of the housing market
- Development of new homes for rent and for sale
- Enhancing Performance
- Developing Information and Advice networks
The web pages are being developed to provide tenants and other service
users with a range of information on the services available. Over the
next year or two we intend to develop the site to allow tenants to make
rent payments, apply for a council house and report
a repair.
At the moment the site contains useful information on services and how
to access them. We would like to hear your views on how these pages can
be improved and any ideas you have on how we could develop the site to
suit your needs.
