work services to a range of people aged between 18-64 years with specific needs
including people with: - learning disabilities
- physical
disabilities
- brain injuries
- mental health difficulties
- sensory
impairment
- addiction problems
- HIV / AIDS
as well
as people who are carers.

What
services do we provide? We have an obligation to: - provide
day services and supports for people with learning disabilities, physical disabilities
and mental health difficulties.
- support people to live
at home and to participate in their local communities by facilitating access to
leisure, recreation, education and employment.
- provide
residential and supported living services directly or through independent partner
providers.
- provide advice and information services
- arrange adaptations for people living at home to enable them to retain their
independence.
- promote independence through the provision
of rehabilitation and mobility training.
What is a Direct
Payment ? A Direct Payment is money paid to you if you are assessed
as requiring a community care service. This means instead of having the service
provided by the council, you are given the money to buy your own service.
