COMMUNITY LEARNING & DEVELOPMENT
Community Learning Plans
For the past few years, Community Learning Plans have proven to be very
successful in bringing together statutory, voluntary and community representatives
to plan and develop learning opportunities in local areas. A range of
plans have been produced which link to the "Promoting Community Learning"
Theme of the Community Plan. The Promoting Community Learning Action Plan
is also the overall strategy for Community Learning and Development in
East Ayrshire. In addition to geographic community learning and development
plans, thematic plans have also been produced.
Community Learning Plans are currently in place for:

North & Northern Area Community Learning and Development Plan
Kilmarnock
South, Central & Irvine Valley Community Learning and Development
Plan
Cumnock
& Doon Valley Community Learning and Development Plan
Young
Persons Community Learning and Development Plan
Disability
Community Learning and Development Plan
Progress Reports have also been published in order to inform local communities
of how the work outlined in previous Community Learning & Development
Plans have been actioned. These illustrate the work undertaken by partners
in relation to the Action Points identified in the original plans.
