Please note that the Council is
now required to maintain additional lists relating to the development
management process.
These comprise of:
1] A list of extant,
(undetermined) applications to which new applications will be added and only
removed when determined; and
2] A list of “Proposal of
Application Notices” received by the council. “PAN”s are a formal notification
to the council that a prospective applicant is intending to undertake a
statutory Pre-Application Consultation (PAC) process with the community prior
to their submission of a “MAJOR” or “NATIONAL DEVELOPMENT” application.
Such larger applications must now
be subject to Pre-Application Consultation over a 12 week period prior to
submitting the actual planning application and the “PAN” process affords the
Planning Authority an opportunity to determine if the proposed level of
consultation to be undertaken by the developer with the community is
sufficient. If not, further consultation can be required.
