DATA PROTECTION & FREEDOM OF INFORMATION
By sending an enquiry form or e-mail via this system, East Ayrshire
Council is authorised to save any personal details contained in these
forms and to pass such details to the relevant council department or other
such relevant organisation.
When
we collect personal information about you, you will see the 'Information
Padlock' symbol displayed.
Personal details supplied may be held on computer or other such filing
systems for the purpose of responding to a query/comment and for statistical
evaluation and market research. East Ayrshire Council ensures that
it will handle all information with the utmost confidentiality in accordance
with the Data Protection Act and will not pass information on to any third
parties other than those responsible for the information and services
provided as part of an enquiry form and / or email.
Such third party organisations may include Employment Service, Benefits
Agency, Enterprise Ayrshire, North Ayrshire Council, Developing North
Ayrshire, North Ayrshire Social Inclusion Partnership, Ayrshire &
Arran Health Board, Ayrshire & Arran Primary Care NHS Trust, Strathclyde
Police, Strathclyde Fire Brigade, Kilmarnock College, Ayr College
and relevant funding organisations.
East Ayrshire Council complies with the Data Protection Act.
Freedom of Information
Please be advised that any communication you have with East Ayrshire
Council will constitute information held by the Council and may be subject
to a request for information under the Freedom of Information (Scotland)
Act 2002.
Correcting and Updating Personal Information
If you need to change or modify information that you have previously
provided, you can do so by
contacting the Council
by email or by post.
