Golden Weddings

If you, or someone you know, residing within East Ayrshire, is due to celebrate a Golden Wedding Anniversary and you wish to request civic recognition of this special occasion, you should complete and return, by post, the application form available on this page. Alternatively, you can contact the Provost's Office on 01563 576036/576505 for further information. At least one week's notice is required to enable appropriate arrangements to be made and, whenever possible, as much notice as possible should be given.

The Local Councillor for the area will be requested, on behalf of the Provost, to call on the couple to present a basket of flowers from the Council. Whilst every effort will be made to accommodate the timing requested for the presentation, this will depend on the availability of the local Councillor. The timing will be confirmed to the applicant by telephone.

It may be possible to arrange a photocall of the presentation and, if you are interested in this, you should indicate your interest when submitting your form.
