Local Organisations' Anniversary and Special Event Celebrations

The Council considers applications from local groups/organisations within East Ayrshire who are celebrating anniversaries or important events and are seeking civic recognition.

Examples of previous awards made by the Council are detailed below:-

•Volunteer Centre, East Ayrshire Council was awarded £415.70 towards a reception for 250 volunteers to recognise and reward the work done by them
•Darvel Primary School were awarded £300 to assist in their centenary celebrations
•Bonnyton Thistle FC received £900 towards a reception in recognition of them winning the U-18's Dunfermline Cup final in May of last year.

All applications for civic recognition are considered by the Members' Services and Civic Ceremonial Sub-Committee which meets every eight weeks. Page 3 of the application form gives guidance as to what you are likely to receive in respect of anniversary celebrations but it should be noted that each application is considered very much on its own merits and that no application is guaranteed support.
