Social Work Response
Social Work are required to follow a complaints procedure set out in
specific legislation and guidance. This procedure is slightly different
from the Council's general procedure.
If a complaint is made to Social Work, an acknowledgement letter will
be sent out within 5 working days of receipt of the complaint and an investigation
will result in a formal response being sent to you within 20 working days
of receipt of the complaint.

If you remain dissatisfied with this response, you are entitled to ask
the Head of Social Work to review it.
If you remain dissatisfied following the review of the response, you
are entitled to ask for your complaint to be examined by a Complaints
Review Committee, the members of which are independent of the Council.
