What We do - Weights and Measures
Most weighing and measuring equipment in use for trade must
meet strict levels of accuracy. Trading Standards Officers regularly test
the accuracy of equipment such as petrol pumps, shop scales, weighbridges
and pub measures.
 The
quantities in packaged goods are also controlled and checks are made at
both factory and retail level to ensure compliance.
Trading Standards Officers can certify the accuracy or verify
for use for trade a variety of pieces of weighing or measuring equipment.
