What We Do - Petroleum Storage
East Ayrshire Council Trading Standards Service is the licensing
authority for petroleum storage, within the council area, for both
retail and private use.
Licencees have to adhere to strict licence conditions issued
by the licensing authority, and pay an annual fee for the issue of a petroleum
licence to store petroleum. Follow the link to find the current

There are currently 78 licensed sites in East Ayrshire ranging
from small petroleum based paint stores to large supermarket filling stations.
All sites are regularly visited and inspected and risk assessment procedures
are carried out in accordance with Health and Safety Guidelines.
Legislation
There have been no recorded accidents or petroleum spillages
reported in East Ayrshire this financial year.
