| The Palace Complex houses the Palace Theatre and Grand Hall. |
The theatre hosts a 500 seat auditorium and an intimate café bar which is the venue for the comedy club and music gig nights. The Grand Hall has a 900 capacity hall, ideal for concerts and conferences, a pillared hall, reception rooms and art halls.This venue is the centre of a refurbishment programme which will start in August 2007 and be completed by October 2007.

| The theatre offers a year round programme of music, comedy, drama, dance and light entertainment, suitable for all the family. Many productions are also supported by an educational programme of events and workshops. The Palace also offers a yearly pantomime of national caliber, produced by Wish Theatre Company, creators of BBCTV@s Tweenies. |
