When will my Blue Bin be uplifted?
Your Blue bin will be serviced every 4 weeks. Contact Cleansing Services to find out your specific day.

What happens if my Blue Bin is full before my collection day?
Excess paper and cardboard can be taken to one of the Council's Recycling Centres, or Local Recycling Points. If you regularly produce excess paper and cardboard you may request an additional blue bin free of charge or collect special paper and cardboard recycling sacks. These sacks can be presented beside your blue bin.

Can I put out extra bags to be uplifted?
If you have extra paper and cardboard, you can present this in blue sacks beside your blue bin on collection day. Blue sacks can be collected from Cleansing Services offices at Western Road Kilmarnock and at Council Offices, Lugar. Alternatively, you can take extra paper and cardboard to your Local Recycling Point with these recycling facilities.

What is food residue, and why can this not go in to my Blue Bin?
Food residue is any food stuffs that may have stuck to or soaked in to the paper and cardboard.
If your paper and cardboard has food residue, it could contaminate the whole recycling process making it more difficult and costly.
