Community Recycling

Community Groups are paramount to East Ayrshire Council's commitment to reducing the waste produced within every community and progressing the principles of Local Agenda 21.

This initiative promotes recycling to schools, parent associations, churches, uniformed groups and other interested parties. It does this by offering payment to all registered groups for the collection of used beverage cans.

This helps with the fundraising efforts of the groups and promotes waste minimisation to its members. Schools can be supplied with a small used drink can collection bin as well as appropriate promotional material.

If you want to organise a local clean up, you can participate in the “Just bin it” campaign.
