Fitness Class Descriptions

Here is a description of what is on offer at the various fitness classes that you will find widely available throughout East Ayrshire. Class details are available in our fitness class timetable.

Aerobics
A Fitness Class to music that is fun; will help you on the road to a Healthier Lifestyle and is suitable for all ages.

Body
Blitz
Body Blitz is a fitness class using Bar Bells and Weights to tone and condition the muscles whilst raising the heart rate for rapid fat burning.

Pedal
Power
Pedal Power Classes (Spin) are a great way to improve your Fitness whilst being fun and demanding. Book to avoid disappointment!
GP Referrals

Gym Sessions are supervised by our highly qualified staff and you wil receive an Induction and Fitness Programme to suit your needs. To access this class you must be referred to the Lifestyle Referral Scheme by your Health Professional.


Circuits

A Circuits class gives you an all round fitness workout developing the muscular and respiratory system. Suitable for all levels of fitness as individuals work to their own personal limits.


Yoga
Helps to increase Flexibility, improve Circulation and alleviate Stress. A combination of gentle Stretches, Yoga Postures and Relaxation.
Fitball Fitball exercises work all muscle groups from a strong central core. Improves abdominal and spinal muscles, giving you a better posture. It's also a fun, safe and effective way to work out.
Bums, Tums & Thighs A full Body Toning Session for all levels and abilities.
Aquarobics A Cardiovascular and Toning Class based in the Pool.
