OUTDOOR AMENITIES Section
 The
Outdoor Amenities Section are part of the Leisure Division of the Neighbourhood
Services Department. The Section operate 5 separate business units, comprising
of Administration, Grounds, Golf, Cemeteries and Miscellaneous.
The section maintains over 8 million square metres of
open space, which includes 4 Golf Courses 2 @ 18 holes and 2 @ 9 holes,
along with 43 Cemeteries and Churchyards. We also have responsibility
for 94 Playparks throughout the council area.
These duties include the following
- Grounds Maintenance Contract/Service Level Agreement
- Golf Courses at Annanhill and Caprington (Kilmarnock) and Patna in
the Doon Valley.
- To operate Garden Care scheme.
- Maintain play areas (94)

Operate Bereavement Services Section service, which
includes maintaining Cemeteries/Churchyards (43). along with approximately
750 interments per year

To provide summer floral displays

Arboricultural inspections and maintenance duties.
