BEREAVEMENT SERVICES

East Ayrshire Council's Neighbourhood Services Department welcomes you to the new Bereavement Services Web Page.

The Council understands that the bereavement process is a traumatic time for families and we aim to provide support in a caring, professional and sensitive manner at this time.

East Ayrshire Council have endeavoured to assist with this process by including useful contact details for those that are affected by the loss of a loved one or a friend.

The Bereavement Services Section operates as part of the Outdoor Amenities Section of Neighbourhood Services.

East Ayrshire Council are responsible for:

23 Operational Cemeteries
3 Closed Cemeteries
9 Operational Churchyards
10 Closed Churchyards

A total of 45 Cemeteries and Churchyards.

The Bereavement Services Section is based at our Western Road offices in Kilmarnock and contact details are contained within the pages of this web site.

The Authority are members of the following professional organisations:

Institute of Cemetery and Cremation Management (ICCM)
Confederation of Burial Authorities (CBA)
National Association of Memorial Masons (NAMM)
