Living OUR AREA Stair

Set in the idyllic surroundings of the East Ayrshire countryside, Stair is a small hamlet and has a number of attractions that are of historical interest.

Stair House built in the 17th century is one of the loveliest houses in Scotland. It has links with Robert Burns.

Its interior is illustrated in the character of the many Scottish traits found in houses of this era.

A good vantage point to view its beautiful exterior is from Stair Bridge.
