Living OUR AREA Priestland

Priestland, formerly part of Galston Parish, suffered a population decline due to the development of Darvel. Many of its artisans transferred there as Darvel expanded. Originally an agricultural area it did not convert to weaving as many of its neighbours did. It currently has a population of 104.
