LIBRARY, REGISTRATION AND INFORMATION SERVICES
The Internet, CD-ROMs and Electronic Databases
Electronic sources of information, CD-ROMs and
the Internet, are becoming increasingly important as information providers.
CD-ROMs covering a variety of subjects are available in libraries for
use on the premises. Access is free although booking is strongly
advised.
The Internet is being used increasingly, by both
staff and customers, to answer a wide variety of questions. Internet
access is available to all library members free in ALL East Ayrshire Libraries. Non-library members must complete a Computer Booking Form and provide some form of identity.
East Ayrshire Libraries have subscriptions for online electronic databases.
Most of these can be accessed directly from library computers and where
passwords are required please see library staff for details. To access
the databases click on the link and log in using the information supplied
by library staff. Alternatively remote access is available to some subscriptions
for library members from their home PCs via our online
booking system.
