Heritage - Local History
Our Ayrshire Collection includes material on local towns and villages,
poetry, architecture, sport, religious and industrial history, as well
as general Ayrshire history.
The Baird and Dick Institutes also hold local newspapers from 1834 to
date (some have been indexed), together with a selection of maps. The
Baird Institute holds local photographs and postcards. Microfiche/film
readers are available within the Baird and Dick Institutes. Although free
booking is advised.
