Emergency contacts

If you are concerned about the immediate safety of a child, for example, a child at risk of immediate harm or injury, dial 999. For other reports, contact your local police or Social Work office (see telephone numbers below).

Out of office hours, please contact police or the Social Work Standby service (for telephone numbers see below).

Do not delay as this could result in serious injury to a child.

If you work for an organisation and have concerns about a child refer to your agency child protection procedures and SPEAK to someone.

All children have a right to be protected from abuse and neglect and all adults have a responsibility to ensure they are protected.
