Child Protection Helpline
Child Protection Line is a single national telephone line which can transfer relevant calls to all local child protection service providers and agencies in Scotland. It also provides an information service to the public about what steps they can take if they are concerned about a child.
The number to call is 0800 022 3222.
The person who answers may transfer your call to a Child Protection Agency, they may give you a local number to call or they may be able to give you advice over the phone.
If you have concerns about a child you can also contact your local Social Work office using the contact details provided below.
If the child is at immediate risk, phone the Police. Dial 999.

Note: The Emergency Out Of Hours Social Work & Homelessness Services are available after 5pm until 9am, Monday to Friday and throughout the weekend, including public holidays. You will be put through to the Ayrshire Social Work out of Hours Response Service. A qualified Social Worker will assess the circumstances referred.
