Recycling centres and local recycling points
There are two recycling centres in operation within East Ayrshire:

Western Road, Kilmarnock, KA3 1LL

Skares Road, Garlaff, near Cumnock, KA18 2RB
Both recycling centres contain recycling containers for a wide variety of materials. Each container/bay is clearly labelled. It is important that only the correct recyclates goes into each container as this makes the sorting process easier.
If you are unsure which container to use check with the site attendants who are there to help you.
All household material can be deposited free of charge on site.
East Ayrshire residents may use the general waste skips on sites to deposit their excess general waste. However, no commercial waste is accepted at either recycling centre.
Recycling centres are open at the following times:
Summer 2013 opening hours will commence on Saturday 6 April and will end Thursday 31 October.
Bank Holiday Monday 6 May - Western Road recycling centre will close at 3.50pm.
