Housing associations
|
Housing associations and co-operatives are Registered Social Landlords (RSL's). These are non-profitable organisations that provide good quality housing for rent, low cost home ownership and shared ownership. These organisations sometimes build new housing or modernise old buildings to provide modern housing.
Several housing associations operate within East Ayrshire and the Housing Options Guide, under the further information section, gives you details on how to contact them, the type of housing they provided and its location.
You can apply directly to these organisations for housing or contact your nearest neighbourhood housing office. The Council may have a nomination agreement with the RSL which entitles us to nominate an applicant from our waiting list when requested.
