Schools gritting routes for Nether Robertland Primary
In 2010 priority gritting plans were introduced for educational establishments by East Ayrshire Council’s Facilities Management. Priority Gritting Plans were completed by the Janitors, caretakers or facilities co-ordinator with the Head of Establishment/Premise Manger in line with the specific requirements of each individual establishment. The gritting plans detailed the priority areas 1 to 5 which would be gritted, resources permitting.
From December 2011 a pilot scheme was introduced to incorporate maps depicting the priority areas that would identify safe pedestrian walking routes within the establishment grounds – please see legend on map. The maps also indicate priority gritting that will be carried out by the Roads & Transport Department, out with establishment ground and resources permitting.
Above Grit Routes are the responsibility of the Roads Section. Above coloured priority areas within EAC premise are the responsibility of ESS Facilities Management and indicate a safe pedestrian access/egress route.
